I decided to use my old Sigma AF Zoom Master 35-70mm reviewed in the past with D3200. I am quite Happy again with the results,  a reliable little lens that I had bought for a mere 11Euro.Nothing too bad to complain but to be fair it was also a glorious sunny day, Enjoy and feel free to comment.

Last week I received a Sigma AF Zoom Master 35-70mm f/3.5-4.5 Lens from the @bay, for only 11euro.My Plan was  to use it on my D3200 and Nikon F55 & F75.

Product Description

The Sigma 35-70mm f/3.5-4.5 offers a very useable range of focal-lengths in a compact, two-touch control package. The 35-70 incorporates multi-coated optics to reduce flare.

  • Aperture Minimum: f/16-22
  • Camera Mount Type:  Nikon F

  • Elements/Groups: 8/7
  • Image Stabilization: No
  • Autofocus: Yes

The price was right because lens was in good working order and condition apart from the plastic cover on the focus scale window which was cracked with a small piece missing, although this does not affected the lens function.

The glass is clear and bright and the aperture works fine. It will not auto-focus on the digital cameras which do not have a drive pin such as the D40. So in my D3200 I can meter and I can have aperture control but no AF. Not bad! So I took it out for a test.

I think it is OK ,not super sharp AF not yet tested not in film bodies. Overall good solid lens that will be fun to use.
