I wish a Happy 2019 to all of you , with health and luck.

2018 was a challenging year for me in many aspects of my life but overall I would describe it as a strengthening experience. That as a fact took a toll on my blogging activity. This year I had only 26 new posts, but it was the year that this blog had the most views since 2015 by far. I wanted to share an input on what attracted your interest mostly this year.

2018 Top 5 Visited Blog Posts

As it can easily be seen the common thing in all these posts is that they all are from 2015. Also 3 out of 5 are related to film cameras and analogue photography. The other 2 are travel blogs , photos from trips with my camera.

But how about the new posts from 2018, which where the most visited?

Here are the TOP 5.

Here the 3 out of 5 posts are B&W related posts, one is a travel post and the last one is a history related post.

I would like to thank all of you around the world that have visited my blog and I hope that 2019 will be a creative year for all of us.

Nikon FM + Nikkor 50mm 1.4 AI adapted, Kodak ImagePro 100

Here are some images taken as a part of a testing of the adapted lens on the particular body. 90% of the photos where taken at the same August day in a “flash/quick” wasteful photo shoo around a country house at Chiliadou. Images scanned from negative in Epson V550 and with the small help of LR6. 2 Photos where processed to B&W.

I am extremely happy with the results, and definitely gonna “waste” a lot more film…

DSC_3043-2

Last week I wrote a post about the Urban Decay that i faced in my walk down to Neo Faliron. I intentionally left out of my post all the “good” , “normal” or “expected” street shots that I took as I walked around the triangle of Faliron, Peace & Friendship Stadium and Karaiskaki. Here are a few photos that i took with my D3200. I really enjoyed the beautiful graffiti that you could see almost everywhere, some where in my eyes fantastic.

I finally developed a roll shot with the Nikon FM10,that I had acquired last month. I wanted to have the camera tested so I used Kodak ProImage 100 that I had bought in bulk. I only had done an experimental development in B&W chemistry Rodinal semi stand.I was eager to get the results and since the shooting took place In a cloudy to rainy day in the woods I wasn’t so optimistic.I had pushed my luck, low ISO,low light and handheld. Here are the results.

Bottom Line ….Success get out and shoot.

Yes, its true it has finally arrived. I have in my hands the Nikon FM10. A new member of my small collection bought from ebay, along with Zoom Nikkor 35–70 mm f/3.5-4.8 zoom lens.

Nikon FM10

The FM10 is not actually manufactured by Nikon itself, and is not a true member of the Nikon compact F-series SLRs, as the name implies. It is manufactured by Cosina in Japan[1] (as are both the lenses), and is derived from the Cosina CT-1 chassis.

The FM10 has a shutter speed range of 1 to 1/2000th second plus bulb and flash X-sync of 1/125th second. Its dimensions are 139 x 86 x 53 mm, and it weighs 420g. The camera is finished in black with champagne chrome trim.
